We always love to sneak away for the weekends when we can, which isn’t very often with our work schedules and three kids, but we made it happen recently to celebrate my daughter’s 20th birthday. I fell in love with this 20th birthday “in my 20’s era” sign!

Our little escape was all about slowing down, enjoying the scenery, and celebrating the simple moments. We explored local thrift shops, enjoyed a cozy diner meal at Belino’s Rockport, and soaked in the water views from Gabriella’s open-air patio—one of our favorite spots in town.

During one of our outings, we found some amazing treasures: at some of the local thrift shops including a crystal bucket that I plan to use as a wine holder, several designer vintage bags, a striped linen tablecloth, a vintage kantha throw blanket for my daughter’s apartment, and a vintage basket that I plan to use on our patio soon. Each little find felt like a reminder to slow down and appreciate the small joys in life.

A few bits and pieces we thrifted – my daughter is using this vintage Kantha blanket on her bed, and it’s just stunning. We fell in love with the colors, and it’s reversible too. I’ve found some similar Kanthas and linked them here. I love that they’re the perfect weight and look beautiful at the foot of a bed or draped over a sofa or chair.

I wasn’t planning on taking pics after a long day but had to share, how cute is this rattan backpack and this crystal bucket. Will be styling my recent finds soon on instagram.

Our son is currently loving tennis, so we made sure to include a bit of that too. After a few games, we cooled off with a quick swim – only in Texas can you still enjoy pool weather in October!

I brought along my new Geometry towel ( a sweet gift from the brand) and it turned out to be the perfect companion for our Saturday afternoon along with a few of our everyday favorites – Yeti, Le’Specs sunglasses and his tennis gear. The towel was such a great gift for my daughter and will make a great idea.
